Hair extensions require regular care—just like natural hair. Using gentle products, reducing friction, and maintaining moisture can help extend the lifespan of the hair.

How often should I wash my hair extensions?
We recommend washing hair extensions about once a week, depending on usage. Avoid washing too frequently, as over-washing may cause dryness and shorten the lifespan of the hair.
What products should I use (or avoid) on hair extensions?
We recommend using gentle, sulfate-free and silicone-free products. Avoid heavy oils, alcohol-based products, or excessive silicone buildup, which may cause dryness or residue.
Can I use heat tools on the hair? What temperature is recommended?
Yes. Heat styling is allowed. For best results, keep heat tools below 160°C / 320°F and always use a heat protectant.
How should I brush or detangle the hair properly?
Use a wide-tooth comb or a soft detangling brush. Start from the ends and work upward gently. Detangling is easier when conditioner is applied during washing.
How do I prevent tangling and shedding?
To help prevent tangling and shedding:
  • Avoid excessive friction or rough handling
  • Keep the hair moisturized with conditioner and lightweight oils
  • Detangle gently and regularly
  • Protect the hair during sleep and physical activities
Minimal shedding is normal, just like natural hair.
Can I sleep with hair extensions? How should I protect them at night?
Yes. We recommend tying the hair into a loose ponytail or braid, or wearing a silk or satin sleep cap.

For removable products such as clip-in extensions or hair toppers, we recommend removing them before sleep and storing them in a dust-proof bag.
Can I swim or work out with hair extensions?
Yes. Tie the hair into a ponytail or bun and avoid prolonged exposure to saltwater or chlorinated water. Rinse and condition the hair promptly after swimming or workouts.
How should I store hair extensions when not in use?
After gently brushing and detangling, store the hair in a clean, dry, dust-proof bag to prevent tangling and damage.
Why does the hair feel dry after washing, and how can I fix it?
Hair extensions do not receive natural oils from the scalp, so dryness may occur.

We recommend:
  • Soaking the hair briefly in water mixed with conditioner during washing
  • Using lightweight hair oil for daily care
  • Applying leave-in conditioner or oil when blow-drying
How long should hair extensions last with proper care?
With proper care:
  • Remy hair: typically 1–3 months, up to 6 months
  • Virgin hair: typically 3–9 months, up to 12 months
Actual lifespan depends on usage, styling habits, and maintenance routine.
How long should I wait before washing tape-in hair after installation?
We recommend waiting at least 48 hours after installation before washing tape-in hair to allow the adhesive to fully bond.
What products can weaken or damage the tape adhesive?
Avoid applying shampoo, conditioner, oils, or styling products directly near the tape area. Excess moisture or oil may weaken the adhesive.
Can I use oil or conditioner near the tape area?
No. Oils and conditioners should be kept away from the tape bonds, as they may cause slipping or loosening.
How often should tape-in hair be moved up or reinstalled?
Tape-in hair is typically moved up or reinstalled every 6–8 weeks, depending on hair growth and maintenance.
Can tape-in hair be reused?
Yes. Tape-in hair can be reused by applying new replacement tape, as long as the hair remains in good condition.
Can weft hair be cut?
Most types of weft hair can be cut to the desired width during installation.

However, hand-tied wefts are an exception. Due to their hand-crafted structure, the top seam and stitching run continuously across the entire weft. Cutting a hand-tied weft may cause it to unravel or shed.

For hand-tied wefts, we recommend adjusting placement instead of cutting.
